RRR Framework

What is RRR Framework?

The three-question filter every LA Traders setup must pass: Reveal, Retrace, Run.

The DefinitionRRR Framework, defined

The RRR Framework is the core decision-making process taught by LA Traders. Before any trade is taken, three questions must be answered in sequence: (1) REVEAL — what did the market just show you? A sweep of a level, a break of structure, or a rejection of a zone tells you which side is in control. (2) RETRACE — where should price pull back to? Direction rarely runs in a straight line, so you identify the level price should return to and wait. (3) RUN — where is price likely to travel next? With the reveal confirmed and the retrace respected, you enter with the move toward the next pool of liquidity.

Why It MattersWhy RRR Framework matters

Most losing trades are taken without a process. The RRR Framework forces every setup through the same three gates, which means you're never trading on emotion, FOMO, or a hunch. If a setup can't answer all three questions, it isn't A+ — and if it isn't A+, you don't take it.

Example · New York Session

ES sweeps the overnight high at 6:47 AM (REVEAL — sellers are in control above). You mark the 1-hour breaker at 5,842 as the level price should retrace to (RETRACE). When price returns and rejects the level, you enter short targeting the overnight midpoint at 5,831 (RUN). Three questions answered. A+ setup.
