What is The New York Session?

The 6:30–11:00 AM PT window where US equity volume concentrates — the only session LA Traders trades.

The DefinitionThe New York Session, defined

The New York Session is the highest-volume trading window of the day, when US equity markets are open and institutional participation peaks. For LA Traders (on Pacific time), the tradeable window runs from the 6:30 AM PT open through roughly 11:00 AM PT, when the morning move completes and chop sets in. The edge of the session is structural: real volume, real moves, real liquidity. The overnight session sets the table; New York eats.

Why It MattersWhy The New York Session matters

Amateurs trade all day and donate to the chop. Professionals trade the four hours that matter and walk away. The window is the edge.

In PracticeThe New York Session — a real example

Example · New York Session

You take your A+ short at 6:52, hit your Run target at 7:40, journal the trade, and close the platform at 8:00. Done for the day. That's the session discipline.

How This Fits the 6:00 AM Protocol
The Entire Protocol

The New York session is the only session the Protocol covers. From 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM ET, volume concentrates and the Reveal-Retrace-Run cycle repeats — this is where LA Traders trades.
